A really stunning design and so easy to do.
You can do this design in paints or with coloured acrylic powders.

What you will need:

Using Acrylic Powders
Five different coloured powders
Thin detail nail art brush
Small stiff brush (a gel brush would do)
Rhinestones
Clear Acrylic Powder
pal glitter acrylic powder
Acrylic Liquid
Glue
Gold glitter or glitter striping pen.

STEP 1:

Pastel Perfect - Step 1

Pastel Perfect - Step 1

Using a gel brush or smaller, apply five different colours in the design illustrated.
Remember to clean your brush thoroughly between colours to avoid contaminating the next colour.
Try and apply the acrylic as smoothly as possible, if you get lumps, don’t worry as these can be buffed down.
Let the acrylic dry thoroughly.

STEP 2:

Pastel Perfect - Step 2

Pastel Perfect - Step 2

Using a striping brush or very thin stiff brush or a short detail nail art brush, wet with acrylic liquid, pick up a small bead of black and draw around the colours as illustrated.
Don’t worry if you get lumps in it.
Let dry.

The short the brush the steadier you hand will be.

STEP 3:

Pastl Perfect - Step 3

Pastl Perfect - Step 3

Using the opal glitter acrylic or clear acrylic and a size 8 or 10 acrylic brush, apply to the rest of the nail where the design isn’t, butt it up to the start of the acrylic design. Leave to dry thoroughly.

STEP 4:
When the design is dry, using a whiteblock of 3 way buffer, smooth the acrylic, ensuring there are no ridges between the glitter acrylic and the design.

STEP 5:

Pastel Perfect - Step 5

Pastel Perfect - Step 5

Take the glue and place 3 small dots to place the rhinestones, use the design as a guide for their placement.
Using a toothpick, moisten the end of the toothpick and pick up a rhinestone, place this on a dot of glue, repeat until you have completed the rhinestone placement.

STEP 6:

Pastel Perfect - Step 5

Pastel Perfect - Step 5

Using a gold glitter striping pen run a line above the two black lines at the top of the design, where the rhinestones are start at the bottom of the rhinestone nearest the design and run the glitter right down to the tip of the nail.

FINISHING:

You have two options here, you can apply a thin clear acrylic layer over the design and around the rhinestones or you can apply a good quality top coat to seal the acrylic.

Another option is to apply a gel sealer.

USING ACRYLIC PAINTS:

What you will need:

Clean dry nails
5 pastel acrylic paint colours
Black acrylic paint
Striping brush
Nail art filler brush or sable gel brush
Water for clean up between colours
Rhinestones
Opal glitter nail polish
Gold striping pen or nail art adhesive and gold glitter
Glue
Nail art top coat

Step 1:

Paint on the design with the pastel paints.
Leave to dry.
Read the instructions for acrylic application to get an idea of how the design is put together.

Step 2:
Using a striping brush or short detail brush and the black paint, draw thin lines to outline the 5 pastel colours.

Step 3:
Using the opal glitter nail polish, apply to the nail above the design and butt this up to the design.

Leave to dry.

Step 4:

Apply the rhinestones using 3 dots of glue where the rhinestones are to be placed (see the finished design for placement).
Using a toothpick, moisten the end of the toothpick to pick up the rhinestones, place each one a dot of glue.
Allow to dry.

Step 5:
As per the finished design, use the gold glitter striping pen to run a line of glitter over one line of black, you can do all nails the same or different lines for each nail.
You can also apply glitter using nail art adhesive, with a striping brush draw lines where the glitter is to go, leave the adhesive to dry thoroughly,
sprinkle over the glitter and then blow and brush away the excess.

Step 6:
Using nail art top coat apply two coats to finish and seal the design.
